December ends with a bang!
AirBNB
During December I had almost every nightmare situation you could have! My AirBNB apartment was damaged by a guest, my dishwasher died, my gas cook-top wasn’t working and my apartment was flooded due to a burst mixer pipe. Luckily quick action from my guests to contact me allowed me to take control of the situation. However, the apartment is not taking any guests for the next week while I asses the damage and may have an impact on my income during Jan.
As for bookings during Dec, it was a slower month than expected. But the prices are higher and my property tends to attract guests visiting family as apposed to tourists and party go-ers (which I prefer to avoid).
Given what a crazy month it has been, ending in a loss was expected.

Property Services Business
The property services business usually starts to quiet down during December and only urgent call-outs are generally made during this time, especially given who my customers are.
