What are the long tail keywords available for your keyword?
Long Tail Pro makes finding long tail keywords really easy to find. All you need to do is enter the keyword that you are looking to rank with or have a campaign for. One you enter the keyword additional longtail pro keywords are shown in a list, all with monthly search volume, Adwords competition and a keyword competitiveness for ranking organically. This makes it very easy to identify the long tail keywords you need to target when creating content or a campaign.
Which keywords are you able to compete with?
When selecting your keywords on Long Tail Pro, it is important to be realistic and use long tail keywords that your site is able to compete with. The higher the keyword competitiveness score, the more difficult it will be to rank organically, as you will be competing with websites that have a very strong and stable history. You can still compete however, it will be an uphill battle. However, don't not create content on your site because it doesn't rank well. You need to consider your followers and provide them with content they are interested in.
What is the spend for a campaign?
The spend is important for any CPC / Adwords campaign you are considering. Using Longtail Pro you are able to identify keywords, the bid and the competitiveness. By knowing these few things, you are able to select the keywords in your campaign that you want to target that get enough volume, won't cost you a high CPC and that has low competition. This is important for getting the best bang for you buck and finding customers that your competitors are missing!
This is why I use Long Tail Pro
As you can see, these 3 important questions are easily answered. Yes, I can use other tools and even the Google Keywords Planner for some of these functions. However, Long Tail Pro makes it extremely easy, saves me a lot of time and helps me identify what is important to my website content plan.
Hi there, I use Jaaxy, I have heard many good things about Long tail pro, do you think I should use it instead of Jaaxy?
I love Jaaxy but I was wondering if long tail pro is better.
Thanks you for this review!
Hi Anis,
Jaaxy is another great keyword research tool.
I did test Jaaxy and I found that I liked LTP a bit more.
I may give Jaaxy another go and review it in the future. 🙂
Hey Mike,
LTP sounds like a handy tool if want to be competitive with search keywords these days.
Are you getting good traffic with it? Is it worth the cost?
Thank you for your time,
JT
Hi JT,
LTP is great and is a tool that assists you with analysis only. Traffic will only come from improving your rank organically or other methods for traffic generation.
I have used LTP with businesses I’ve worked for and myself, and I can say that LTP and most keyword research tools are essential for performing quick research and focusing on keywords that will give you the best chance of improving your rank. Rank doesn’t only depend on using keywords, there are also other factors to Google’s algorithm for ranking such as traffic, backlinks, etc. However, LTP is highly recommended if you are looking for a tool to help you decide on the best keywords to use in your content and to avoid using keywords that is extremely hard to rank with. The cost is dependent on how much you believe this is worth to your traffic strategy, but it’s not a big expense for a newcomer 😉 Best to always give the trial a go and decide what you think!
All the best,
Mike
Mike
Sounds like a good keyword tool. I like the SEO vs AdWords. I believe in long keywords as it gives the least competition.
Ed
Thanks Ed!
It’s imperative to use long tail keywords now to have any chance at ranking. Adwords can be incredibly expensive, so it’s great to know what your budget for each keyword is when planning a campaign!
